Photoshop actions are simply pre-recorded tasks that you can save and reuse anytime. Photoshop actions commonly have an .atn file extension. Installing a Photoshop action for more recent versions of Photoshop is easy: simply drag the .atn file onto the Actions palette or place it directly inside your Adobe Photoshop\Presets\Photoshop Actions folder.

Here are the steps on using Photoshop action.

Step 1: Download a Photoshop action. In this example, download this action.

Step 2: Install the action you have downloaded to Adobe Photoshop\Presets\Photoshop Actions

folder.

Step 3: Once you have install the action to the folder, open your Adobe Photoshop software. It doesn’t matter which version you are using. In this example, I’m using the CS4 version.

Step 4: Open an image for you to test the action. I am using the image in the Pictures folder in my PC.

Step 5: Go to your actions panel. If there is no action panel on your screen, go to Window > Action on the toolbar or click Alt+F9. You will see something like this

Follow the step below to use the installed action. The action I’m using for this example is 23 (this is the action which you’ve downloaded in the earlier step).

If you didn’t see any of the action, do load it manually. You can do this by clicking on the Load Actions. Search for your action in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop\Presets\Photoshop Actions folder. Once you’ve found it, click on Load.

Step 6: Run the action by following the steps below. Click on action 1, below the 23 folder. Then click on Play button, below the action 1 layer.

You should see your photo has changed into this

Each layer represent an image, do explore on it.

Last but not least, do save your file in .PSD and .JPG/ /PNG

Brushes are collections of design elements in Adobe Photoshop that can be used to enhance your graphics. In this tutorial, you will learn on how to use a brush.

First of all, download this brush.

Then, install it to Adobe Photoshop > Presets > Brush folder in your PC.

Open Adobe Photoshop after installing the brush.

Create a new document, File > New. Just follow the resolution size, after all this is just a basic tutorial.

Create a new layer for your brush. It is very important for the brush to have it’s own layer. Just click on the icon as shown below, or you can add the new layer by choosing Layer > New Layer from the menu bar.

It is recommended that you rename the layer’s name.

Select the Brush tool from the toolbar.

And now from the Options Bar, select the Brush Preset Picker dropdown menu, click the arrow off to the right and then select Load Brushes

Browse to the folder where you installed brushes are stored and load them from there. Your new brushes will be available in the Brush Preset Picker, as well as in the Brushes window.

i) Project Viewing – Under projects page, there are few categories, Residential, Commercial and Industrial. Each is represented by a thumbnail. Viewers or visitors can read the specific project by clicking on the thumbnail photo or the project’s title.
